Hi, we’re Dale and Andrea, daughter Nicole, son Daniel, grandchildren Hayley and Amelia. Andrea: I have been working full time for the NHS for the last 20 years and fully enjoy working here. Dale: I have had numerous jobs including HGV driving but I am currently employed (for the last two years) as a school bus driver for children with special educational needs. This is close to our hearts as our son was diagnosed with Autism in 2023 and I liked the idea of working with other SEND children as it is a rewarding job. In 2003, whilst living in North Manchester, we had the idea of building our own home as it’s always been a dream of ours. After searching for almost 2 years we found a plot of land in Chadderton which we subsequently purchased and the build started in March 2006. We moved into our beautiful home in September 2006. Around two years ago we thought about selling up and looking to do another self-build project, we looked at different estate agents but decided upon the idea of giving away the property in a prize competition whilst also helping a local charity.
