Terms and Conditions
1.0 The Promoter
1.1 Win Our House Ltd (the “Promoter”), a private limited company organised under the laws of England and Wales, with company number 15866358 with the registered office address as 66 Wakefield Drive, Chadderton, Oldham, OL1 2PT.
2.0 The competition
2.1 The title of the competition is Win Our House
2.2 These Terms and Conditions apply to the competition listed on the Promoter’s website at https://winourhouse.co.uk/ (the “Company Website”)
2.3 The competition is a prize competition and an Entry Fee is payable each time you enter. An Entry Fee is the applicable fee amount as set by the Promoter to purchase an Entry. An Entry Fee will come with a single Entry unless specified otherwise by the Promoter. There will also be a free postal entry route available for the competition.
2.4 Entrants will be required to correctly answer a question or solve a problem set by the Promoter.
2.5 The Promoter will only change or extend a closing date & time and/or draw date in exceptional circumstances beyond the promoters control. If the Promoter does change the closing date & time and/or draw date & time of the competition, the new details will be displayed on the Company Website.
2.6 In the event the Promoter chooses to extend the Closing Date in accordance with Clause 2.5, the Closing Date as set out within Clause 3.1 of these Terms and Conditions will also be amended and accepted by the entrant as the Closing Date of that competition.
2.7 The draw will run until the closing date stated. Unless circumstances stated in 2.5 or 2.6 above.
2.8 Answering an entry question does not automatically guarantee entry into the competition. Only answers to the entry question that contains the correct answer will be entered into the final draw for the competition.
3.0 How to enter
3.1 The competition will run from 18.00 on 26th April 2025 (the “Opening Date“) to 18.00 on 25th October 2025 (the “Closing Date“) inclusive. All times and dates referred to are the times and dates in London, England, United Kingdom.
3.2 All competition entries must be received by the Promoter no later than 18:00 on the Closing Date. All competition entries (PAID OR FREE) received after the Closing Date are automatically disqualified.
3.3 To enter the competition online:
3.3.1 Go to the Company Website to view the competition question.
3.3.2 Submit your answer as directed by the Company Website and purchase the relevant Entry Fee for the competition. Before purchasing the relevant Entry Fee, you are required to read and agree (marking the tick box to confirm) to the Terms and Conditions on the Company Website.
3.3 You may enter the competition for free by post, by complying with the following conditions:
3.3.1 Send your entry by first or second-class post, by unenclosed postcard or enclosed letter to the Promoter at the following address: Win Our House Ltd, 66 Wakefield Drive, Chadderton, Oldham OL1 2PT.
3.3.2 Include with your entry the following information:
- Your full name and date of birth;
- Your full postal address;
- Your contact telephone number and email address;
- Specifying which competition you are entering and your answer to the competition question; and
- Your statement confirming that you are a resident of the United Kingdom, aged 18 years or over and that you agree to the Terms & Conditions of the competition.
- Any handwritten postcards or letters entries must be legible otherwise they will be void.
- Hand delivered entries will not be accepted and will not be entered into the prize draw;
- A maximum of one entry per household can be made by postcard or letter received, and bulk entries (within the same envelope (or similar means) / letter / postcard) will not be accepted.
- Entries made by post will only be accepted once received by the Promoter.
- Entries made by post will be limited to a maximum of one entry per household.
3.4.The Promoter will not accept:
- Responsibility for competition entries that are not successfully completed; or
- Responsibility for competition entries that are lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed in transit, regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of any postal failure, equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind; or
- Proof of posting or transmission as proof of receipt of entry to the competition.
3.5 By submitting a competition entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
3.6 For help with entries, please contact the Promotor as per the contact details on the Company Website.
3.7 Entries received will receive a unique reference number to help identify the entry on behalf of the Entrant.
4.0 Choosing a Winner
4.1 The result of the draw is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.
4.2 All Entrants who provide an eligible entry and who correctly answer the competition question will be placed into a draw and the Winner will be chosen by random draw generator, witnessed and verified by an independent person.
4.3 The random draw will take place on or after the draw date & time as stated in the competition details on the Company Website.
5.0 Eligibility
5.1 The competition is only open to all residents in the United Kingdom aged 18 years or over, except:
- The company(s) or employees of the Promoter;
- The company(s) or employees of the Promotor or who are professionally connected with the competition or its administration; or
- Members of the immediate families or households of (a) and (b) above. This is defined as a child / mother / father / brother / sister / uncle / aunty / grandmother / grandfather / cousin / nephew / niece. This is a non-exhaustive list of members of the immediate family.
5.2 In entering the competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim the prize. The Promoter may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the competition.
5.3 The Promoter will not accept competition entries that are:
- Automatically generated by computer or created by artificial intelligence (including but not limited to chatbots such as ChatGPT or similar software applications);
- Completed by third parties or in bulk;
- Illegible, have been altered, reconstructed, forged or tampered with;
- Photocopies and not originals;
- Incomplete;
- Received after the Closing date of the competition.
5.4 There is no entry limit for the competition, unless by post, but would advise the entrant to only purchase entries which are reasonbly affordable to their circumstances.
5.5 Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed.
5.6 All entries that are made that are not accepted due to illegibility will be disqualified from the competition.
5.7 The Promoter reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the prize competition.
6.0 The prize
6.1 The prize for the competition is described on the website. A residential property worth £350,000, located in Oldham, England, United Kingdom, plus Winner’s stamp duty and legal costs paid for up to £10,000.00 (inclusive of stamp duty and legal costs).
6.2 Should the required number of tickets sales target not be achieved; the prize will be 65% of the total sales generated of the tickets sold. The Promoter is entitled to retain 25% of the total sales generated to cover administration costs and legal fees.
6.3 10% of the total sales generated will be donated to a charity as chosen by the Promoter regardless of reaching the sales target or falling short.
6.4 The Promoter has no responsibility for the Prize once it has been received by the Winner; the Winner is solely responsible for complying with all relevant laws and regulations relating to the property, including but not limited to: insurance, any maintenance and repairs, all council tax and bills.
6.5 After the Winner has been announced, the Promoter will contact the Winner either by phone or email.
6.6 In order to claim the Prize, the Winner must notify the Promoter that they are claiming the prize.
6.7 The Winner has a period of 30 days, in order to claim the prize and to coordinate with the Promoter to instruct a licensed conveyancer or solicitor and complete the registration and transfer of the title of the prize.
6.8 The Winner agrees to co-operate with the Promoter and any licensed conveyancer or solicitor in relation to the registration and completion of transfer of the title.
6.9 Travel arrangements to and from the prize location in Chadderton, Oldham are the responsibility of the Winner.
6.10 The valuation of the Prize offered in this competition is taken from two local estate agents whose credentials can be obtained by the Winner, within 14 days of claiming the prize, if so required.
6.11 The actual value of the Prize may vary depending on the market conditions on the date the Prize is awarded.
6.12 The prize cannot be transferred, substituted or redeemed for cash by the Winner.
7.0 Winners
7.1 The decision of the Promoter is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.
7.2 The date on which the Promotors agree to announce the Winner of the prize will be construed as the Announcement Date.
7.3 The Promoter will contact the Winner personally as soon as practicable after the Announcement Date, using the telephone number or email address provided within the competition entry form. The Promoter will not amend any contact information once the competition entry form has been submitted.
7.4 The Promoter reserves the right to publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation the Promoter will publish the surname and county of the prize Winner and, if applicable, their winning entries on the company website on the Announcement Date.
7.5 If the Winner objects to any or all of their surname, county and winning entry being published or made available, they should contact the Promoter in writing. In such circumstances, the Promoter must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
8.0 Claiming the prize
8.1 If you are the Winner of the prize, you will have 14 of days from the Announcement Date to claim the prize. If you do not claim the prize by this date, your claim will become invalid.
8.2 The prize may not be claimed by a third party on your behalf.
8.3 The Promoter will make all reasonable efforts to contact the Winner. If the Winner cannot be contacted or is not available, or has not claimed their prize within 14 of days of the Announcement Date, the Promoter reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant selected from the correct entries that were received before the Closing Date.
8.4 The Promoter does not accept any responsibility and is not liable to pay any compensation if you are not able to claim the prize.
9.0 Limitation of liability
9.1 Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the Winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
10.0 Ownership of competition entries and intellectual property rights
10.1 All competition entries and any accompanying material submitted to the Promoter will become the property of the Promoter on receipt and will not be returned.
10.2 By submitting your competition entry and any accompanying material, you agree to:
10.2.1 assign absolutely to the Promoter all your intellectual property rights held in the competition entry with full title guarantee; and
10.2.2 waive absolutely all moral rights, in and to your competition entry and otherwise arising in connection with your entry to which you may now or at any time in the future be entitled under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 as amended from time to time and under all similar legislation from time to time in force anywhere in the world.
10.3 You agree that the Promoter may, in their sole discretion, make your entry available on the company website and in any other media, whether now known or invented in the future, and in connection with any publicity of the competition. You grant the Promoter a non-exclusive, worldwide, irrevocable licence in perpetuity, for the full period of the intellectual property rights in the competition entry and any accompanying materials, to use, display, publish, transmit, copy, edit, alter, store, re-format and sub-licence the intellectual property rights in the competition entry and any accompanying materials for such purposes.
11.0 Data protection and publicity
11.1 The Promoter will only process your personal information as set out in the Promoter’s Privacy Policy. See also condition 7.4 and condition 7.5, with regard to the announcement of Winners.
12.0 Refunds and Cancellation
12.1 All entries to the competition are final and no refunds shall be made at any time or for any reason to include disqualification, except in the case of entries, which were not disqualified, submitted after the closing date & time or if the Promoter cancels the competition.
12.2 The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, disqualify, suspend, cancel, or amend the competition where it becomes necessary to do so. In such circumstances, the Promoter will refund any entry fees you have paid.
13.0 General
13.1 The Promoter reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The latest version of these Terms & Conditions will be available on the Company Website.
13.2 If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these Terms and Conditions, the Promoter may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the competition.
13.3 The competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Facebook, Instagram or TikTok. By entering the competitions, Entrants agree that Facebook, Instagram or TikTok have no liability and is not responsible for the administration or promotion of the competitions.
13.4 The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the prize competition where it becomes necessary to do so.
14.0 Jurisdiction
14.1 The Promotor and any entrants irrevocably agrees that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim (including non-contractual disputes or claims) arising out of or in connection with this agreement or its subject matter or formation.
